What are parents saying about
montessori garden academy?
My daughter, Mariela, attended MGA from 18 months to kindergarten. I couldn't be happier with the school. The personnel is loving, respectful and professional. My daughter loved every single day at MGA and would be sad when she didn't get to go. The school helped her develop skills that will be valuable for her whole life and reinforced the values I teach her at home. She is a respectful, kind-hearted friendly, caring little girl and she got to be herself while learning. The hours and before and after school care were extremely convenient and the teachers and personnel were always really reasonable to accommodate any needs that we had. As a single mom, this was of outermost importance to me. Her reading and math kills at the end of kindergarten were above the rest of her class in public school when she started first grade and made her life much easier. She is an avid reader and loves books thanks in part to the encouragement to work harder to be a great reader. Also, the amount of love and attention made her learning environment perfect for a developing child to grow and love learning. I couldn't be more grateful for all that they did for me and my girl!
My daughter has been attending MGA for the past year+ and I could not be more thrilled. The change in her was almost immediate in that she wanted to show me all the things she could do for herself. She began at the age of 4 and yet fit right in with the kids and loved learning through the Works. She absolutely loved attending Kindergarten there and learned so much. I was amazed when she'd just start counting by 5s or 10s when I had never taught it to her. The combination of academic and creativity is exactly what she needed to successfully learn. I honestly can't say enough about what a wonderful school and community this is. The teachers are really connected with the kids and my daughter absolutely loves every single teacher she has encountered here; and frankly, so do I. You just cannot go wrong giving your child the tools to learn at MGA.

What an amazing school with a committed staff and leadership team! My eldest daughter attended for 2 years, through Kindergarten, and my younger children will be enrolled in the near future. I highly recommend the school for anyone who wants their children to experience the openness, challenge, and reward of a Montessori education.
My grandchildren have attended MGA and I am always impressed with the culture at the school. The dedicated staff teaching children to respect others, to be independent, to be responsible as they learn. Just outstanding!
Even we, her own parents, didn't really believe that our 15 month old daughter would be pouring her own drinks, setting her own place at the table, and washing her own dishes! We were wrong: Montessori has changed the way that we respect and treat children. Each child has a potential to grow and to learn beyond the limits that we set for them, if only we allow them the space and independence to do so.
My husband and I asked our 4 year old Olivia how her day at school was. She replied that they learned about the planets and then named every one! Olivia even said that Pluto is now a moon- not a planet! We were speechless. She is learning more than we ever imagined.

Montessori Garden Academy has taught my daughter Sophia, 7 years old, to be a leader as well as a contributing member of a group. MGA is teaching her to be a productive citizen of tomorrow.
I do not have words for the difference MGA has made in my daughters lives. I am so happy to see how they have thrived as a result of MGA. My daughter goes to sleep at night asking if she gets to go to school tomorrow!

Great programs and great school. The staff are of the highest quality and awesome with the kids.
Hi Jamie and all the great folks at MGA. I just had to share something the kids said the other day... The preschool we WERE going to was not what we had hoped it would be. When I asked the kids what they like most about MGA, they both said, "The teachers!!" Lydia added, "Yeah, they LOVED us!" We miss you all very much. Hope things are going well for everyone there!

This school has exceeded all of our expectations and my kids will remain here until they age out. I am worried about where they will go after MGA because nothing else compares to the quality of education they are currently receiving.
We wish we had discovered MGA a few years ago. After trying another Montessori for a year and then a traditional "academic" day care for 2 years, we switched to MGA when our daughter had just turned 4. She was ready for pre-reading and numbers and the old day care had a one-size-fits-all mentality that believed no real learning takes place until kindergarten. At MGA, every child is encouraged to learn at their own pace and students receive individual attention daily. Students are taught organizational skills and self-motivation is rewarded. These early years are so important. Why choose a day care when you can have a school like this for a similar price? Our daughter is almost 5 and already reading. She is challenged and encouraged every day through the Montessori method. The MGA teachers and assistants are very talented. This is more than a job for them - it is a calling. And this attitude shines through in the care they give the children.
One of the best schools in the city! Instruction is individualized for each child. The hands-on, task based curriculum keeps my daughter engaged. Molly is learning so much and she loves going to school. It is really special when your six year old can read fluently, and not only add and subtract but also multiply and tell you about the Big Bang. In addition to academic work, there is a wonderful sense of community at the school.
My daughter attends this school and has for the last 6 months. It was the best decision we have made for her. MGA has become family and realize that children cannot be taught in "boxes." Fingers crossed that the education level will expand to 6th grade by the time my daughter gets there!! Parent involvement, teacher involvement, and administration's open door policy. MGA is the school my 5 year old wakes up excited to get to every morning!
My children LOVE the summer camp! The teachers are amazing, and the Elementary program has a great mix of educational activities and fun.
